The X-Rest 7.1 is compatible to all headsets, regardless of whether it has a stereo jack or TRRS connector. The headset stand offers two 3.5 mm ports and automatically detects which connector is used. Sharkoon expands its range of PC cases and introduces the REX Water Cooling Edition Midi Tower for micro-ATX mainboards.
A novel construction allows the installation of a 120 mm or 240 mm water cooling radiator in the top of the case. Thus, the midi tower is well prepared for space-saving installation of high-performance water cooling systems.
Externally, the 6 kg case differs only slightly from the well-known REX series, the internal structure, however, was completely revised. Only micro-ATX mainboards can be installed, thus, the Rex Water Cooling Edition wins additional mounting space for large radiators.
For the alternative installation of an air cooler, thankfully nothing will stand in the way of a tower cooler with a width up to 205 mm and a maximum height up to 165 mm. A tinted acrylic window provides insight into the housing interior and the installed components. Order is ensured through a cable management system.
The Rex Water Cooling Edition has, unlike traditional mATX cases, five slots for expansion cards. Up to two dual-slot graphics cards with a maximum length of up to 40 cm can be installed. In the versions without a window, an optional fan on the side panel can be installed.
On all the cases the front I/O offers two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 and two audio ports. The two USB 3.0 ports are connected via a 19-pin mainboard connector and also provide an alternative USB 2.0 connector, ensuring backward compatibility with older mainboards. The front panel design of the series is completely cable-free. The panels can be removed at any time, without having to detach any cables. This simplifies the installation of external 5.25" or 3.5" drives. Optical drives are mounted with quick-release fasteners, or optionally screwed in.
The biggest difference between the four mini towers is their various designs. The MA-A1000 with its closed front comes in pure Alu-optic. The MA-I1000 is equipped with vents, behind which a blue 140 mm LED fan is installed. For lovers of classic mesh design, the MA-M1000 with its blue LED fan is recommended. The stereo headset is compatible with Sony Playstation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PC and notebooks as well as TV sets and other sound sources with RCA audio outputs. Installation is quite simple: The transmitter is quickly connected to the respective terminal through the enclosed adapter. Of course, all voice chat features on the consoles are fully supported. In regards to the PS3, the microphone function is connected directly to the gaming console via USB. The microphone input on the Xbox 360 controller is simply connected to the headset through the enclosed chat cable. The digital 2.4 GHz transmission technology of the X-Tatic Air ensures clear voice and game sound within the vicinity of up to ten meters. Two AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries provide the power supply and enables gaming sessions of up to ten hours. Two additional AAA batteries are also included, which are charged and stored within the base station. This guarantees that fully charged batteries are always readily available and can be quickly swapped-out. The headset informs the player audibly when the batteries are running low and should be changed. This ensures that nothing gets in the way of continuous operation with the X-Tatic Air. Additional AA batteries are included which can be charged and stored in the base station until their next use in an Xbox controller. Also, a PS3 controller can be connected and charged through the front USB port on the base station. It has a flexible, detachable microphone, as well as three equalizer modes for special sound effects. All settings, such as volume and microphone mute, can comfortably be made directly on the headset. An LED signal indicates coupling of the headset with the transmitter and receiver unit. An LED within the microphone indicates when the mute function has been activated. Chat and game volume can be controlled separately on the headset. To ensure that the batteries are not unnecessarily drained, the X-Tatic Air goes into an energy-saving sleep mode if no audio signal is detected after three minutes.
The transmitter base station, with an integrated charger for two AA and two AAA NiMH batteries, also offers a wide-array of connectivity options in addition to everything else. Two separate analog audio inputs, situated next to the port for the console, simultaneously allow connection to either a television or other sound source. On the transmitter, a toggle switch lets you choose between the audio inputs. To use the chat feature, it can be connected to the PS3 through the USB port. In addition, a PC and Notebook running Windows XP/Vista/7/8 can easily operate via USB within Plug-and-Play. Here the station acts as an external sound card, of course, with microphone support. The detachable headset stand serves as a practical base and holder for the headset during breaks in gaming.

Sharkoon Press Releases 2011
USB3.0 Front Panel
Sharkoon advances the USB3.0 standard even further. Concretely: on the case’s front. The case and accessory specialist presents three front panels with SuperSpeed connections, which can be comfortably accessible to the front of the PC from the mainboard. The series embraces models for the mainboard, which provides USB3.0 externally exclusively on the PC backside, and also for newer mainboards, equipped internally with one or two USB3.0 pin headers. All front panels allow quick and easy installation for a 3.5 inch bay and are equipped with a black front panel.
The Sharkoon USB3.0 Front Panel Model A moves the external USB3.0 port of the mainboard or the extension card from the rear of the PC to the front: The panel provides two USB3.0 ports, which are led out from the USB3.0 Type A Jack to the rear of the case and connected with two external SuperSpeed interfaces. The Models B and C provide an elegant, interior wiring for newer mainboards with 19-pin USB3.0 connectors: Model B provides an internal 19-pin connector cable with two available USB3.0 ports, while Model C provides two internal 19-pin connector cable and four USB3.0 ports.
Also new to the Sharkoon product line: An internal USB3.0 adapter for users who already have a case containing front USB3.0 as well as a mainboard with a 19-pin USB3.0 header. The converter transforms the 19-pin connector into two USB3.0 Type A connectors, so that the Type A front panel cable can be connected to the outside directly to the mainboard without being detoured. The USB3.0 interface also allows it to be internally connected to the mainboard with other PC extensions – slot bezel, card readers and multi-function panel.
Sharkoon presents another series of cases: Available in three color editions, the Sharkoon T28 offers a lot of space especially for hard drive installation, thankfully due to the removable hard drive cage, and also perfect for extra-long graphic cards.
Externally the Sharkoon T28 offers a black body and a rectilinear mesh front design. Power and Reset buttons are elegantly chromed. In regards to the front connectors, Audio In/Out stands ready between three USB2.0 ports and a USB3.0 interface. An acrylic window on the left side panel gives an insight into the interior of the colored mainboard tray. Choose from three color editions: Red, green, and for the first time after numerous customer suggestions, blue. Also, the operating and hard drive LEDs illuminate in the edition color as well as the three pre-installed 120 mm fans. Two fans rotate in the front, the third in the back. All possess a 4-pin power supply and a 3-pin mainboard connector.
The Sharkoon T28 allows various options with the drive assembly: Two external 5.25 inch and eight internal 3.5 inch bays are available. In one of the two 5.25 slots an external 3.5 inch device alternately can be mounted, appropriate installation material is enclosed. 2.5 inch disks also find room: Configuration includes two mounting frames for hard drives and SSDs in both installation sizes. If necessary, the case converts in no time to support the installation of longer graphic cards: The eight hard drive bays are divided, with two firmly installed and a separate modular hard drive cage. By removing the middle three-cage, enough room is created for up to 40 cm long graphic cards.
In regards to the other functions Sharkoon focuses on proven comfort: The mainboard tray is provided with a CPU cooler mount opening and feedthroughs for orderly and concealed cable relocation, the drives assembly occurs with practical quick-locking mechanisms, the power supply is positioned on the floor of the case directly over a dust filter protected air intake, and in the rear two rubberized hoses are provided.

Product video in SharkoonTW YouTube Channel:
Sharkoon is expanding their product line of Gamer cases: The Sharkoon Tauron ATX is characterized in particular by its flexible hard drive assembly, which makes room for extra-long graphic cards when needed. There is also an efficient air flow system and two USB3.0 SuperSpeed ports on top.
The ATX case with mesh front, painted interior and acrylic side window provides three 5.25-inch drive bays for optical drives. One of the bays alternatively supports an external 3.5 inch hard drive. Therefore a total of up to seven hard drives in either 2.5 or 3.5 inch format could be used. All mounting frames come with screw holes for both sizes. With the placement of storage disks, the Sharkoon Tauron grants a high-degree of flexibility thanks to the modular hard drive cages: With the firmly installed front cage for three storage disks sit two additional, removable frames. If necessary, one or both modules can each be mounted behind the front cage – in order to create more room for either the air flow or for one 42 cm long high-end graphics card.
The components installation requires a CPU cooler mounting hole in the mainboard plate and quick-fasteners for the optical drives. The mainboard plate also has feedthroughs for clean cable routing. For water cooling fans the rear side of the case provides four rubberize hose guides. To quiet PC operations, case feet and also screw holes for power supplies and 3.5 inch hard drives are provided with rubber bumpers to guard against audible decoupled mistakes.
The Tauron also brings an efficient air cooling concept. Cool air for the CPU and hard drives is supplied through the two dust filter protected 120 mm LED fans in the front as well as the air intakes on the side. Also, a dust filter is fitted over the air opening for a bottom positioned power supply. The removal of warm air is due to the superb 170 mm fan on the ceiling of the case and a 120 mm fan in the rear. Optionally, an additional fan with either a 120 or 140 mm edge length can be installed on the floor of the case. The pre-installed fans are equipped with a three- and four-pin power supply connector, so that they can be regulated either over the mainboard or over the two pre-installed fan control systems.
The two fan controls are located together with audio ports, power and reset buttons, and two USB2.0 and two USB3.0 ports as a top I/O under a protective lid on the case cover. An adapter will be needed with the internal connection of the two SuperSpeed ports which is included within shipping. The Sharkoon Tauron measures 510 x 205 x 495 mm (L x W x H), weighs 9.5 kg and is available in three different versions to choose from: Red Edition and Green Edition with a black body and interior finish and LED fans in the respective color, and as a White Edition with a white body and blue LED fans.

Hard Drive Docking Station with Gigabit Ethernet
Sharkoon presents the successor to their local network, insertable hard drive docking station with the SATA QuickPort Pro LAN: The Sharkoon SATA QuickPort Pro LAN Giga replaces the existing Fast Ethernet interface with a significantly faster Gigabit Ethernet interface. Through its LAN Port, associated hard drives and other medians can be integrated into a local home or office network.
In addition to the LAN Port and plug-in for SATA hard drives in 2.5 and 3.5 inch format, the Sharkoon SATA QuickPort Pro LAN Giga provides an integrated dual USB2.0 hub and a card reader for SD, SDHC, MMC and MS cards. The USB hub and card reader are connected via USB to a computer or laptop, with hard drives also being connected alternatively via the eSATA interface.
In order to ensure that all inserted SATA hard drives, memory cards and USB devices within the QuickPort are available to all users of a local network, the docking station must be connected to the network with the corresponding software installed on all computers involved. The individual user can add the device to their computer through the Software menu. If a user accesses the device then it is closed to all remaining network users. If another user needs the device, they can simply send the current user a request for release. If needed, the reset button on the backside allows the USB server to be restarted.
Like the previous QuickPort models, the Sharkoon SATA QuickPort Pro LAN Giga is equipped with a hard drive ejection button and LEDs indicating power supply and disk activity. The adapter measures 133 x 71 x 95 mm (W x H x L), weighs 545 grams and includes an instruction manual with Tool CD, power supply, patch cable, USB cable and eSATA cable.
MS120 and MS140
Sharkoon introduces two micro-ATX cases, which despite its compact form factor, can contain graphic cards up to 36 cm in length: The Sharkoon MS120 mATX and the Sharkoon 140 mATX are especially aimed at gamers who are looking for a handy companion at LAN parties and at the same time not wanting to miss out on extra-long graphics power.
The two black finished cases differ in their front fan configurations: The MS120 is equipped with two blue illuminating 120 mm front fans behind a mesh insert. The MS140 instead features a blue illuminating 140 mm front fan. The MS120 is a little taller at 375 mm than the MS140 at 368 mm.
In addition, the functionality of both is the same: Both cases contain auxiliary audio and three USB2.0 ports, and a SuperSpeed USB3.0 port on the front of the I/O panel. Inside contains an optical drive, an externally accessible 3.5 inch drive and four extension card slots, and up to four 3.5 inch hard drives or up to six 2.5 inch hard drives or SSDs. The data mediums are inserted lengthwise within the two suspended mounting panels. On both panels, either two 3.5 inch hard drives can be decoupled installed or three 2.5 inch drives can be firmly attached. If necessary, one of the two panels can be removed to make room for the up to 36 cm long graphic card; thus comfortably accommodating high-end models, such as the Nvidias GeForce GTX590 or AMDs Radeon 6990. As a trade-off for the removable panel, an additional hard drive bracket is added to the base area.
Despite its compact design, efficient cooling of the housing is ensured: The airflow through the pre-installed front fan is supported through the air intake on the side panel. By surrendering the supported PCIe-Slot on the mainboard for a graphic card cooler, a filter-protected 120mm fan can be mounted to the base of the case. Additionally, a fixture to mount an 80 or 92mm fan is located in the rear. The case measures 420 x 175 x 375 (MS120) or 368 (MS140) millimeters, the empty weight is 4 kg.

Sharkoon Anti-Vibe Magnetic: vibration-eliminating fan frame with securing magnets for easy and flexible installation in computer cases / 80mm and 120mm fans
Sharkoon presents an anti-vibration frame for case fans that attaches itself with magnets. The Sharkoon Anti-Vibe Magnetic isolates fans from the wall of the case and prevents transmission of vibrations to the case. In this way the frame dampens annoying operational sounds and lengthens the life of the fan.
Installing the Anti-Vibe Magnetic is quick and easy. The frame is approximately three centimetres wide and made from flexible rubber so that it fits perfectly over the plastic fan frame. Hidden in the corners of the frame are eight enclosed magnets, allowing users to install the fan without screws and even in places without pre-drilled screw holes. The magnets in the Anti-Vibe Magnetic are much too weak to cause any memory malfunctions, but for safety reasons should not be placed directly on top of hard drives. Even users of non-magnetic aluminium cases can use the frames due to the screw holes in the rubber frames. Sharkoon offers the Anti-Vibe Magnetic in two sizes for 80mm and 120mm fans.
End users will find the Sharkoon Anti-Vibe Magnetic available immediately for the suggested retail price at authorised retailers.

When unlocked, these additional hard drives can be used by directly connecting them to a computer or through a separate external housing; however, in their locked state access is not possible even when directly connected to a computer or through an external hard drive enclosure. A replacement transponder is also included and configured as a backup during the initial setup.

Sharkoon Press Releases 2005
first 620 Watt model / dual fan architecture / suggested retail price from 64 Euro
Sharkoon is introducing a new series of its award-winning SilentStorm power supplies, and the new models meet the specifications of the new ATX 12V V2.2 form factor. The power supplies provide energy stably and reliably for both current and upcoming processors and graphics cards and dissipate heat effectively out of the case. A special white aluminum coating and trendy, black fan grill also give the units an attractive look.
In addition to the previously available 370, 430, 480, and 535 Watt classes, Sharkoon is bringing a 620 Watt SilentStorm model onto the market for the first time for extremely power-hungry high end machines. The power supplies are equipped with a 24-pin mainboard connection, separate 12V lines for the mainboard, CPU, and drives, S-ATA connections, a PCI-E connection for graphics cards, and active PFC. The models with 480, 535, and 620 Watt offer a dual PCI-E connection for SLI operation, and the 535 and 620 Watt models also offer a 4+4-pin EPS connection for server mainboards.
The dual fan architecture with 80mm and 92mm fans guarantees effective heat dissipation. The low noise fan’s rotation speed can be controlled automatically by the internal temperature sensor or manually using the potentiometer. The transparent 92mm fan allows a direct view to the internal gold-plated heatsinks. Thanks to fan monitoring, the 80mm fan’s rpms can be monitored over the mainboard. The post-shutdown overheating protection system protects sensitive hardware against overheating and burnout by keeping the fans running for at least two minutes after the computer has been turned off, until the power supply has cooled down to 40 deg C. Black-and-gold sheathed cables help to keep things organized inside the case. Cable ties, thumb screws, network cables, and an eight-language handbook are all included in delivery. Sharkoon gives a three-year warranty.
stereo headphones with behind-the-head neckband design / 2 x 3.5 mm connector / suggested retail price: 9.90€
Sharkoon introduces a versatile, ultra-light stereo headset: the Sharkoon Floatic offers high-quality sound for online-gaming, internet telephony, dictation, as well as listening to audio files and films. The Floatic is equipped with an Extra Bass System and guarantees precise voice transmission and rendering with rich, clean bass tones. A weight of only 50 g and the comfortable neckband design let the headphones rest lightly on the ears and curve around the back of the head instead of stretching across the top, pressing uncomfortably and creating “headphone hair”.
The headset cable is equipped with an integrated volume control and a double 3.5 mm connection. It also ensures more than sufficient freedom of movement with a length of 2.2 meters.
drive cases in black, red, and blue / elegant aluminum chrome design / suggested retail price: 34.90€
And now, the new Sharkoon Swift-Case… in bold, real, living color!
Sharkoon is adding to its series of external USB 2.0 drive cases with three new colored models. The popular case for 3.5” drives is now available not only in silver, but also in black, red, and blue. The cases are constructed of colorfully anodized aluminum and built to meet the same standard of quality as their silver-colored predecessor. In addition to a stylish and stabile design, the lightweight metal also guarantees excellent heat dissipation.
Data transmission takes place over a USB 2.0 interface at up to 480 Mbit per sec. The Swift-Cases support Plug&Play and are equipped with an operation LED on the right side as well as a USB connection in the back. A handbook, Win98 driver CD, USB cable, power adaptor, mounting screws, screwdriver, and a stabile aluminum stand for vertical placement are all included in delivery. Together with these colorful newcomers, the Sharkoon Swift-Case series also includes silver-colored models for 2.5”, 3.5”, and 5.25” standard and 5.25” slimline drives.
2-in-1 USB stick and card reader with optimized design and accelerated data transfer / suggested retail price: 12.90€
Sharkoon has given the new Flexi-Drive XC a facelift: the variable USB stick and card reader combination device now has an even more practical design and a faster data transfer rate. The Sharkoon Flexi-Drive XC+ functions simultaneously as a card reader and as a USB stick. The two-in-one data medium reads and writes in Secure Digital and Multi Media Card formats as well as miniSD, microSD, MMCmicro, and MMCmobile formats with the use of an additional adapter. When connected to the PC as a card reader, the Flexi-Drive XC+ allows different cards to be inserted and used without having to reboot. By inserting a memory card, it is transformed into a USB stick with read and write access. The memory capacity can be varied arbitrarily according to which flash card is used.
The Sharkoon Flexi-Drive XC+ measures 70 x 28.7 x 12 mm (w x h x d), making it even smaller than its predecessor. Thanks to the new protective cover built into the translucent gray housing, inserting flash cards is reliably easy. A carrying strap connected to the housing prevents the protective cap covering the USB connector from being lost, and the mini-carabiner hook on the end can be used to attach the card reader to a key ring, for example.
The device supports USB 2.0 with a transfer rate of 480 MBit/s. The data transfer rate for SD format cards can reach up to 18.5 MB/s and 11 MB/s for MMC format cards. Under Windows ME/2000/XP and Mac OS.9 and OS.X the Flexi-Drive functions using Plug&Play. Drivers for Win98SE are available for download at www.sharkoon.com. An instructional booklet is included in delivery.
