The protective sleeve made of silicone is split so you do not have to remove the complete sleeve from the HDD in order to plug it into a QuickPort.
Only remove the part of the sleeve covering the hard disk's connector before use, and replace it afterwards. While not in use, the hard disk will be safely protected lying in your cupboard, waiting for its next mission.
The Quick Protect is made of durable silicone material and fits any 2.5" or 3.5" hard disk drive - IDE as well as SATA.

In addition to the QuickPorts, the Quick Protect also works perfectly with other devices such as the DriveLink.
