The SATA QuickPort Multi is an internal docking station which has two separate bays for 2.5" hard drives/SSDs and 3.5" hard drives. A fast-swap mechanism facilitates the handling of the hard drives, which are connected to the mainboard using the two included SATA cables .
Power is supplied by directly connecting the docking station to a SATA power connector on the power supply.
The docking station, which is inserted into a 5.25" drive bay of a PC case, also has two USB 3.0 front ports which are connected to a corresponding mainboard connector (19-pin). The docking station is decoupled by special rubber buffers mounted in the case so that the vibrations of the disks are not transferred to the case's body. The SATA QuickPort Intern Multi includes a switch for turning on/off both hard drives.
